Race Weekend
BTR Criterium
Western Michigan University and the CMS Race Team sponsor a Criterium road race at the WMU Business, Technology and Research campus in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This race is known as the BTR Criterium. This year the race was held Saturday, July 16th, 2011.
We would like to thank all the volunteers and racers. Once again we had a safe and enjoyable event.
Priority Health Race for Wishes
The First Annual Priority Health Race For Wishes is set as part of a great Kalamazoo area race weekend. The race will be on Sunday July 17th, 2011 in Lawton, Michigan (just outside of Kalamazoo) and will benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan. The goal of Midwest Charity Racing is to promote the best possible bike races while raising funds for worthy causes; 100% of all net proceeds from the race will be donated to Make-a-Wish.
This is one of the events taking place during Race Weekend, July 16th and 17th in Kalamazoo.
Priority Health Women's Racing Clinic
This clinic is for riders of all abilities, first time racers and experienced racers alike. Riders will get instruction from Priority Health's Cat 1 & 2 women, with training and practice on the BTR race course. This is a great opportunity to ride the course before you race on it, and learn and practice cornering and sprint technique. Riders will be grouped based on ability with and the appropriate topics covered for their skill set. Topics will include subjects such as race preparation, crit racing strategy and USA Cycling racing rules.
When: Friday, July 15, 2011, 6:30pm - 9:00pm
Where: The BTR race course. Meet at the tent near the start finish area.
